Who We Are

Merchant Landscape & Design creates North Texas luxury landscapes, outdoor living areas, and private and commercial recreation spaces tailored for sports, leisure, and resort-style retreats. Designed with precision. Built on integrity. Led by Chad Merchant, a Texas native with a degree in horticulture, 27 years in the field, and seven years running a Fortune 500 nursery, we bring a depth of knowledge to every project that’s rare in this industry.

We’re family owned and operated, with third-generation roots in tree services and extensive expertise in tree trimming and care. What sets us apart is simple: every project is created, designed, and implemented by our own employees. We use no subcontractors, and unlike nearly every other company in the area, we never contract out our artificial turf installation. Every job is fully custom, from the design and materials all the way down to the plants we select. We don’t do cookie-cutter projects, and we’d love to show you what that difference looks like.

Quoted the going rate and helped me decide whether going with my landscaping choice was going to be worth it regarding selling my home. I did decide to forego my landscaping choice in favor of his advice which in the end saved me money. He's very honest and tells you what would be the best option for your scenerio, but is happy to help with whatever you'd like to get done. First of all drainage work is not cheap but I felt that Chad gave me a fair price while still providing quality work and not having to cut corners. Chad was willing to meet me on a Sunday to discuss the drainage issue my yard has and he went over with me his plan of action to remedy it.
